Activity clubs are run on a weekly basis by staff at the end of the school day. The following list is typical of the range of clubs on offer each term.
A chance to have fun and explore the exciting world of computing. Use the computer to draw and print pictures as part of a project or research safely on the internet.
Green Fingers Gardening Club
How can you make our garden grow? Grow your own herbs, vegetables and beautiful plants. Sell some of your plants and eat some of your produce! You will also be able to enter the “Rushmoor in Bloom” annual competition where the school often win prizes.
Dough and Modelling Club
All sorts of weird and wonderful sculptures and models will be made in this creative club. If you like making things then this is the club for you!
Have fun learning how to programme using our school technology. You will be using beebots and on screen software to programme and problem solve.
Try all sorts of fun exercises and investigate what makes a healthy meal with an opportunity to taste some healthy foods. We will be using the PE equipment and working together as a team.
This club will give you the chance to take part in a variety of fun, challenging and enjoyable different sporting activities. You will need PE kit suitable for outside.
Football and Tag-Rugby
Sports clubs are often run by an external sports company and are very popular. Learn the basic rules for these competitive sports and possibly even have a chance to play against a local school!
Alderwood infant children have been very successful in winning awards at the local inter-school dance competition. If you love dancing and performing then this could be the club for you.
